Fuel Cell Mercedes-Benz Citaro Buses roll in Switzerland

Hydrogen fuel cell is the technology that will drive us into the future. Clean, efficient, simple and realistic, fuel cell technology will help us go in tandem with nature. While FCX clarity from Honda boasted of using this technology, there is now one more player in the market that has used the technology at a bigger level and has been proved correct with its practical implementation.
Five Mercedes Citaro FuelCELL buses have been actively doing the service in Brugg, Switzerland since the end of
2011. Since the fuel cell has been tucked away on the top of the roof, the space remains the like any other Citaro bus and hence carry the same number of people.
The buses have been running good and they have been 50% than their previous version and they go 240 kms before they need another 35 kg of hydrogen. The fuel cell technology is in its second generation and easily should be a favorite to replace the traditional technologies, at least in the case of public transportation.
